Dog-faced-corpse is an iraq death metal band , the band was found by Latif(AboOmeN) the iraqi drummer and Ameen on guitar on the 1st of august - 2008 . the band considered as the first death metal band and the first technical attempt in iraq! when Latif started writing bunch of riffs and rhythms and followed by ameen's leading guitar and mahmod's rhythm and acoustic guitar with all the hard times and the death threats they have been facing through thier lives in baghdad. the first demo track (consaguinity) was recorded in latif's bedroom without vocals , and the drums were recorded with one cheap mic because of the lack of studios in iraq and there is no metal production company in iraq , so we are sorry for the bad quality! then after that two members had joined the band when they needed two other members with them , a bassist and a vocalist , so latif brought rafi on bass and mothana as a vocalist , and right after that in the same year they did a a metal concert along with brutal impact on the 25th of october 2008 , and it was the first metal concert in 4 years after the war the band now is working on the debut demo
the band is influenced by lots of old and new death, technical death metal and progressive metal bands such as : Death , atheist , necrophagist , cynic , origin , nevermore , cannibal corpse , carcass , cryptopsy , control denied , morbid angel , nile , spawn of possession , slayer , behemoth , obituary , malevolent creation , deicide , dream theater and others .
